Today, May 16, 2008 was the 22nd Annual ARL Triathlon! Of those twenty-two, Mark has been in charge of 21 races! Of the 21 races he has participated in 10 races including today! 6 of the races he participated as an individual and 4 on teams. He decided 2 days ago that he was going to participate this year. So the race begins at the beautiful Blanding Swimming Pool. It was a balmy 80 degree water today.
The race begins with deep contemplation focusing on the strategy for the race.
The gun signals the start of the race and it's into the water!
I said, "Smile for the grand kids!"
Ever hear of a farmer tan?
It off on the bike - a grueling 5 miles - I'm sure its all up hill!

How fun! My goal is to be back in shape enough to do a mini one here in the fall. I would love to do one in Blanding if it's an annual thing!
WOO HOO!! And that is pretty good since he decided 2 days ago.
PS go into the EDIT POSTS and after your last picture press the delete key until all the blank spaces are gone. Then you won't have that big black space between the post and the comment and the next post.
WOW! That's awesome. What would it be like be good enough shape to do that with only 2 days in advance!!!
He's amazing! Gavin loves to see pictures of grandpa.
